Has anyone else been following the case of Roshae Gibson Belhomme? I just can’t stop thinking about how she might be managing without her medication. It’s really worrying given her diabetes and bipolar disorder. It’s hard enough out there, but without proper medical support, everything becomes ten times harder. I read somewhere that people in similar situations might get confused or have medical issues if they miss doses, and that puts them at even more risk. It's a constant worry thinking about how she's coping. If anyone has any thoughts or updates, I’d really appreciate hearing them!
Has anyone else been monitoring the angles of Roshae's case from the mental health advocacy perspective? It really strikes me how often missing persons cases like this shine a light on the critical support systems that can make or break a person's ability to safely navigate the world. Roshae's need for medication related to her diabetes and bipolar disorder is a massive factor here. Without her medication, she's at such an increased risk.
I think it's vital to have a conversation about how facilities like Order My Steps can better ensure support for their residents, especially once they leave or if they have lapses in medication. It could make such a difference in prevention and prompt intervention. Has there been any outreach from mental health organizations in the Fort Lauderdale area in conjunction with this case? Partnerships like that could be game changers for people like Roshae. Would love to hear your thoughts or any updates from folks on the ground there.
