Has anyone else wondered about the bus routes Judith might have taken on the day she disappeared? I've been looking into the public transportation system from back in 1994, and it seems like the journey from the Safeway on 17th Street to her home on 41st Street would have been quite a routine but lengthy commute involving two buses and the Metro. It's a busy area with a lot of foot traffic and potentially a lot of witnesses, but I haven't seen much discussion about whether any fellow commuters remembered seeing her that day. Does anyone know if any of the bus drivers or regular passengers were ever interviewed or if any of the CCTV from the buses or Metro was reviewed back then? It seems like there could have been some valuable information from people or footage from her normal transit route, especially since it was such a familiar path for her.
Has anyone else looked into the time gap between when Judith Rhones left work and the time she was supposed to be at the bus station? From what I've read, Rhones usually had a pretty set routine. I can't help but wonder if there's any CCTV footage from the area around the Safeway or the bus routes she typically took. Did anyone spot her or see anything unusual? It seems like a big city like D.C. would have surveillance, even back in 1994. Considering how routine-oriented she was, it's baffling that she seemingly disappeared along such a familiar route. Makes me think something interrupted her usual commute. Thoughts?
