I’ve been following the Bryant case for a while now, and something that really stands out to me is the role of Monument Academy Charter School. It’s unsettling that Austin was enrolled there up until August 2003, and then he was just... withdrawn. No homeschooling records, no medical records, nothing. How did the school handle his sudden withdrawal? Were there any red flags at the time that went unnoticed? Schools usually have protocols for tracking students, especially when they disappear from the system like Austin did. I'm really curious if any faculty or staff members have come forward since the case became public. It’s chilling to think about how easily kids can slip through the cracks like this.

Has anyone else been following the case of Austin Eugene Bryant and his brother, Edward? I was digging through some old news articles and came across the bit about their alleged homeschooling. It makes me wonder why more stringent checks weren't in place for homeschooling situations, especially when there had been suspicions of neglect. The school records ending abruptly in 2003 is such a red flag in hindsight! It's baffling to me how the system didn't catch on sooner. There must be more oversight to ensure these vulnerable kids aren't falling through the cracks. Anyone else have thoughts or insights into how homeschooling regulations could play a role in missing kids cases like this?
