Hey everyone, I recently stumbled across the case of Wilburn Leeroy Thompson and found myself curious about the wooden boat they were on, the *Robby Lyn*. Does anyone have more info on what kind of shape it was in at the time of the tragedy or any potential issues it may have had? I read that it caught fire and capsized, and it got me thinking about whether mechanical or structural problems contributed to the incident. If anyone knows about similar issues with wooden boats around that era or anything related, I’d love to hear your thoughts. It seems strange for a boat to catch fire so suddenly and I'd love to dig a little deeper into this aspect.
