Hey all, I’ve been following the case of Delijah Davis, and something that’s been on my mind is the larger picture of violence in Montgomery. It’s so tough to see another young life lost in a string of heartbreaking incidents. What’s clear is there’s a significant issue that the community is wrestling with, and it makes you wonder how we got here and what can be done differently to prevent more tragedies like this. I think it’s important for us to focus on the changes needed to address these problems. It could be increased community programs, better support networks for young people, or more transparent communication between law enforcement and residents. Whatever it is, the loss of Delijah has to mean something, more than just another statistic. My heart goes out to Delijah's family and friends. I hope they find peace and strength in these incredibly challenging times. These conversations can be tough, but they're necessary if we want to find solutions and make sure this doesn’t happen to another family.
