I've been thinking a lot about the impact this tragedy must have had on Mary Lou Gray, Jason's mother. Losing a child is something no parent should have to go through, and then to lose him in such a senseless way is unimaginable. The bond between a mother and her child is unlike any other, and I can only hope that Mary Lou has a strong support system around her right now. It's these ripples of grief that people often forget in cases like this, but they affect families and communities deeply. Sending all my thoughts and prayers to her and anyone else grieving Jason’s loss. If anyone knows of any memorials or ways to support the family, please share. ?
