Hey everyone, I've been digging into the William Emil Schmitt case and something curious caught my attention. Did anyone else notice the odd timing of when William's boat was found? I mean, his boat was discovered still running under Parrott's Ferry bridge at 4:00 p.m., which makes you wonder how long it had been adrift before someone noticed it. Considering he left early in the morning, there's a sizeable time gap there.
The area around New Melones Lake isn't exactly bustling with activity, especially back then, so it makes me ponder if maybe his boat's been running unattended for quite a while. What do you all think about this time gap? Could there be more witnesses who might've seen his boat earlier or even William himself? Any locals familiar with this spot and its usual traffic back in '95? Looking forward to hearing others' thoughts on how this might piece together in understanding what possibly happened to William.
