William Emil Schmitt, a 38-year-old man, was last seen in Tuolumne County, California on May 5, 1995, and has not been heard from since. On the morning of May 4, 1995, at approximately 8:30 a.m., Schmitt left his home in Sonora to go fishing at New Melones Lake. He was expected to return home around 1:30 p.m. that day but never did.
