I’ve been following Tyree's case since it happened, and something that's been on my mind is the significance of the location where he was killed. Bass Place SE is a residential area, and there have been several other violent incidents reported around there since. It's unsettling to think about how this impacts the residents who have to navigate through reminders of such tragic events every day. I can’t imagine the pain that Tyree’s family and the community must feel as they walk past the memorial set up in his honor. It's not just about solving one case, but bringing a sense of safety and justice back to Southeast D.C. What's heartbreaking is knowing that there might be someone out there with the missing piece of this puzzle. Perhaps someone saw or heard something that night but hasn't come forward yet. I sincerely hope that anyone with even the smallest bit of information reaches out to the MPD. Tyree deserves justice, and his family deserves peace.
