I’ve been following the Darrious Smith case, and I can’t stop thinking about the neighborhood’s role in this heartbreaking situation. Holt Avenue is usually such a peaceful place, and it must have been so shocking for the community to experience something so violent right on their doorstep. It’s frustrating that there hasn't been much progress in the investigation. Living in a close-knit community like Florence, I would think that someone saw or heard something that night. I hope people come forward, even if it’s anonymously. It’s so important to lend a hand to help Poody’s family find some sense of closure. What a sad reminder of how unpredictable life can be. Sending love to his family and friends during this difficult time.
