On the night of January 20, 2014, police found two people fatally shot in a basement efficiency on Girard Street Northwest in Washington, D.C. Oluremi Thomas, 36, was discovered in a bed and Keyonna Proctor, 24, was on the floor; emergency personnel found no signs of life for either person. Both victims were not residents of the Girard Street address where their bodies were located.

Investigators noted drug paraphernalia in the apartment, and a D.C. Council member characterized the killings as seemingly intentional and possibly execution style, with drugs suggested as a possible link. Court records show Thomas had been arrested outside the same house in November before the killings for possession of marijuana and pleaded guilty.

The Metropolitan Police Department offered a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to arrest and conviction. If anyone knew Thomas or Proctor, or has information about activity at that Girard Street address in January 2014, please come forward.
