Was anyone else a little surprised that Roy's backpack was found so far off the trail? If he knew the Webster Trail like the back of his hand, I wonder what led him to stray so far. The items in the backpack, especially the phone with recent photos of a creek, suggest he was documenting something specific. Could he have seen something off trail that caught his interest or needed his attention? This has been stuck in my mind for a while. Also, I've read that his transient ischemic attack could have impacted his cognitive function temporarily. I'm not sure how much of an influence that would've had, but it might explain his decision to wander. What are everyone else's thoughts on the significance of where the backpack was found?
