Hey everyone, I've been following the Deandrea Martez Moore case, and it's just so tragic what happened during what should have been a joyful celebration of his life. I've been thinking a lot about the role of the ShotSpotter technology in these investigations. It seems like it can be such a valuable tool for the police, but I'm wondering what others think about its effectiveness? In Moore's case, it allowed the Birmingham Police to respond swiftly, but unfortunately, it still feels like there are leads that haven't been uncovered. I know technology can only do so much, and community involvement is crucial here. Does anyone have insights or experiences with ShotSpotter in their own neighborhoods? Is it really helping solve cases faster, or are there limitations that aren't widely discussed? I genuinely hope that justice is served for Deandrea and his loved ones. No family should have to go through something like this, especially not during what should have been a celebration of life. My heart goes out to everyone affected by the senseless violence that weekend. Let's hope the community comes together to help detectives in any way they can.
