Hey everyone, I’ve been following the case of Uriel Cruz Mayo and thinking about how such incidents really spotlight the need for communities to come together and discuss domestic violence openly. It's so unsettling to see someone described as a loving father and active community member meet such a tragic end. It makes me wonder whether there were warning signs or if interventions could have taken place sooner to prevent this. Does anyone know if there have been any vigils or community gatherings in Decatur to honor Uriel’s memory and support his family? Sometimes these events can be crucial not only for healing but also for raising awareness about the issues leading up to such a tragedy.
