I can't stop thinking about the trauma Alphonso Morrissette's family must be going through. Losing someone in such a violent manner is unthinkable. It's even more unsettling to learn that he was targeted just the night before. I wonder how the community is coping with the knowledge that this could happen in their own neighborhood. It’s chilling to think about how incidents like these create such ripples of fear and sadness. Is there anyone local who can share how people in Dothan are holding up? It's heartbreaking that a young life has been lost, and I hope there's a sense of justice for Alphonso and his loved ones. How is his family dealing with everything? I think about his parents and friends often.
I'm just trying to wrap my head around the fact that Alphonso Morrissette was targeted not once but twice in such a short span of time. It feels like something out of a movie, but this is real life, and it makes me think about how terrifying those days must have been for Alphonso and everyone who cared about him. The first time, he was lucky enough to escape unharmed, but the second time was dreadfully tragic. It speaks to the level of danger he was facing.
What really puzzles me is what kind of environment leads two young men, so close in age to Alphonso himself, to be involved in something so violent. We can only imagine the pain that friends and family are going through, especially knowing how close they were to losing him just the night before it ultimately happened. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this senseless tragedy. I hope justice is served and that there is healing for Alphonso’s loved ones. Our community truly needs more peace.
