The conversations sparked about youth gun violence in the aftermath are a step in the right direction, in my opinion. It’s crucial that the community acts on these discussions to foster a safer environment for young people like Janyia. To all who knew and loved her, my thoughts are with you during this profoundly difficult time. Let's hope something good can come out of this tragedy, leading to real change.
