I’ve been following this case since the initial reports, and something that’s stayed on my mind is regarding the mental health aspect. When Jared used the phrase "I had to get them before they got me," it highlights a potential deep-seated paranoia or other severe mental issues. I can’t help but wonder how the mental health system failed him and everyone involved in this tragedy. Were there warning signs before all this happened? Did the family seek help before? I feel for Jeremy, his grandparents, and Ms. Glover, as they should have been safe in their own home. It’s just devastating for their loved ones, but I also think about how crucial it is for our society to address mental health more effectively. The system should do more to prevent situations like these before they escalate to this level of violence.
