Is anyone else curious about the financial aspects surrounding Karen Mero's disappearance? It seems like the authorities might have missed a crucial angle by not digging deeper into those forged checks. The fact that the Henlines were able to get away with perjury and only ended up with probation seems concerning. Was there a thorough investigation into where that money went or if there were any additional beneficiaries from those financial activities? The intertwining financial and disappearance aspects make me wonder if more could have been uncovered about Karen's fate had those financial trails been pursued more aggressively. Would love to hear your thoughts, especially if you've seen similar cases where financial motives were key.
Does anyone else find it odd that Karen wasn't reported missing until eight months later? I get the whole outstanding warrant thing might have led people to think she'd gone underground, but eight months is a heck of a long time. I can’t help but feel like there’s more to that delay than just a misunderstanding. When you add in the suspicious financial activity by the Henlines and the fact they were writing fraudulent checks from her account, it sure raises a lot of questions in my mind. It's like she just vanished, and meanwhile, her bank account was active but not by her. It's just eerie how both the women disappeared and how slow the ball seemed to get rolling on investigating. Anyone else have a theory on why the Henlines got off with just probation when there seems to be more going on?
