Hey everyone, I just came across something interesting regarding McAdams' case and wanted to share. I've been digging into the details about his flight path, and it's fascinating how this aspect hasn't been explored deeply yet. The last radar contact at 2:45 a.m. had him 70 miles off the coast, which seems pretty far for a novice to navigate at night over open water. Although he was an experienced pilot, flying in those conditions without any navigation lights or support must have been incredibly challenging.
The aviation community might agree that if he operated outside standard flight procedures, it could have increased the difficulty tenfold. What are everyone's thoughts on whether he could have been trying a tricky maneuver to evade detection? Or perhaps there was some other reason he ended up so far from land? I think understanding his possible mindset or intentions during those final moments on radar might shed more light on what happened that night. Looking forward to hearing everyone else's speculations and insights!
