Anthony Miller Jr. was 22 when he was shot and killed on a Northeast Washington, D.C., street around midnight on September 7, 2014. Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District responded to reports of gunfire and found Miller in the 3100 block of Newton Street, Northeast, near the Maryland border. He was taken to a hospital but died of at least one gunshot wound.

Detectives from the MPD Homicide Branch opened an investigation.
