I’ve been following the case of Jacolby Moore and can’t help but think about the impact such a tragedy has on the community. Jacolby, fondly known as "Black," was clearly more than just a victim; he was someone who brought joy and laughter to those around him. It’s inspiring to see how he took the initiative to start his own venture with "Blackland" and how this goes to show how dedicated he was to building a future for himself and his family.
What’s really struck me is how the community has come together to remember him—holding onto the memories of his infectious smile and the warmth he shared. It’s clear that he was loved deeply. My heart goes out to La'Princia and his kids. Hopefully, justice will be served, and they can find some peace. Has anyone attended any of the memorials or gatherings? What were they like?
Did anyone else notice the strong community support at Jacolby's funeral? It really struck me how many people showed up to pay their respects and share memories of him. The love and kindness in that room were palpable, a testament to the impact he had on those around him. I think it says a lot about who Jacolby was as a person. His life may have been cut short, but the legacy he leaves behind in his family, friends, and community is so profoundly positive. It’s heartening to see everyone coming together to support his loved ones during such a difficult time. Hearing all those stories about his generosity and sense of humor made me wish I’d had the chance to meet him. Anyone else who attended have the same thoughts?
