Does anyone feel absolutely gutted hearing about Mr. Patel's passing? Having lived in Sheffield for a while, I can say Mr. Patel was one of those people you just knew by name even if you'd never stayed at his motel. His work ethic and kindness were well-known around here. I've seen so many posts about the violence, but something else that sticks out to me is the impact his absence will have on the community. A 40-year legacy is no small thing. I can only imagine what his family and close friends are going through right now. Losing someone so suddenly and violently is a trauma that no family should ever experience. The strength they've shown during this nightmare is admirable, and I hope they find some solace knowing that Mr. Patel was cherished by so many. Even as the legal proceedings move forward, let's continue to rally around his family and ensure they feel supported and acknowledged. Hug your loved ones a little tighter.
