I’ve been reflecting on the senseless loss of Michael Lane, and it’s just awful how something like getting a haircut turned tragic. I can’t imagine the shock and immense grief his family is going through right now. One thing that really stands out to me is the location of the incident—a shed converted into a barbershop in someone's backyard. It's such a shame that what was likely meant to be a safe, neighborhood space turned into the scene of such horror. Has anyone else noticed how these kinds of community setups are becoming targets for violence? It’s like the places meant to bring us together end up marking the sites of our deepest losses. My heart goes out to Michael’s family, especially his children. No one should have to deal with losing a parent like this.
