I was going through some cold cases and came across Ricardo Hernandez's disappearance again, and something about his situation really makes me wonder about public transportation records. Given that he had a history of wandering and once took a bus to downtown Los Angeles, did anyone look deeper into transit records around May 5, 2013? I know it's been quite a while and privacy issues come into play, but I'm curious if any of the bus routes back then had CCTV footage that might show him boarding or getting off. It seems like tracking his movements that way could have been a crucial lead. If nothing else, maybe it’s a reminder of how essential it is to have up-to-date procedures for handling such cases, especially when vulnerable individuals are involved. Anyone have thoughts or knowledge about how things like this have been handled before?
Hey everyone,
I've been following Ricardo Hernandez's case since he went missing in 2013. A detail that has always stood out to me is that he had a pattern of taking the bus to downtown LA and Bell Gardens before he disappeared. I know it's been a decade now, but has anyone heard of any follow-ups on bus driver interviews or if transit footage from around May 5, 2013, was ever reviewed? It seems like checking those routes might have given some clues back then. It's just puzzling that there are still no leads after all this time. My thoughts are with his family; they must still be hoping for some answers after all these years.
If anyone is local to the area, I'd be curious to hear if you've heard any chatter or about renewed efforts to search for him now, especially since it was never confirmed if he managed to board a bus. Thanks for any insights you might have!
Stay safe, everyone.
