In the predawn hours of Saturday, May 23, 2015, gunfire in the 2300 block of Irving Street SE in Southeast Washington, D.C., left 29-year-old Anthony Andre Osgood dead and a woman wounded. Officers arrived around 1:07 a.m. and found both victims suffering from gunshot wounds; emergency medical services transported them to a local hospital. Osgood died of his injuries; the woman was admitted for treatment and her condition was not publicly detailed.
Authorities did not say whether the two victims knew each other. The Metropolitan Police Department opened a homicide investigation and asked the public for information, but no arrests have been announced and the fatal shooting remains unsolved. Osgood was a Southeast D.C. resident and is survived by his parents, two children, and other relatives and friends.
If anyone has information about that night or knew Anthony, please share what you know.
