I can't stop thinking about how much the Selma community has come together during this devastating time. It's such a testament to the lasting impact that Au'Terrious had on everyone around him. The way his teachers and classmates have shared their memories really paints a picture of a young man who was loved by so many and had so much promise. I heard that over 200 people attended the funeral at the Tabernacle of Praise Church—just goes to show how deep his connections were. I didn't know Au'Terrious personally, but seeing everyone united in such a way is both comforting and heartbreaking. It's a reminder of how precious life is and how important it is to cherish every moment with our loved ones. I hope everyone finds some healing in leaning on each other, and that the community continues to rally against violence so that we can prevent such tragedies in the future. My thoughts are with his friends and family every day.
