I’ve been thinking a lot about the community's role in these situations, especially after the tragic murder of Damien Manning. It's so important for us to come together and support one another, while also working with law enforcement to make our neighborhoods safer. It’s devastating to see how gun violence can tear apart families and communities. This could have been any of our loved ones, just going about their evening and suddenly changing the course of multiple lives forever. I keep thinking about Damien's family and all they're going through right now. Losing someone you love so suddenly is a pain most of us can't even begin to imagine, and my heart really goes out to them. Whatever can be done to support them during this time, I hope the community steps up. And for anyone who witnessed what happened or knows anything, please consider reaching out to the police. I know it can be tough, but remember that those little pieces of information could be what helps bring some peace to those affected. Stay safe, everyone, and let’s keep pushing for a future where such senseless acts of violence are far less common.
