I've been following the case of John Fitzgerald Dubose Jr. and Ladexter Pelt for a while, and something's been nagging at me. Has anyone else found it odd that Alfredo Banuelos-Villarreal is still on the run? It's been almost two years now! It makes me wonder if he had some kind of plan B or outside help to stay hidden for so long. Given that his brother Ricardo faced two trials, you'd think someone would have caught Alfredo by now. I'm curious if the ongoing search is hitting any roadblocks or if new leads are coming in. It must be incredibly tough for the families to have no closure while someone involved is out there. Does anyone have insight into how these manhunts usually play out or why they can take so long, even with so much at stake?

Anyone else find it interesting how the discovery of Dubose's phone led them to the Sutter Bypass Wildlife Area, but then Pelt's phone provider ping pointed investigators to a Sacramento hotel? It almost seems like there's a lot of distractions or mis-directions in this case. Was it intentionally planned by whoever is responsible? Or is it just a bizarre series of coincidences? The distance between the two locations makes me think that either they were moved around quite a bit, or different parties were involved at various stages of this crime. It still baffles me how Alfredo Banuelos-Villarreal hasn't been caught yet. It's like a piece of a puzzle is missing that we're not yet seeing. Would love to hear others' thoughts on how these breadcrumbs might interconnect.
