Has anyone else looked into how the California Department of Justice updates their records for missing persons? I found it strange that Augustine John Dellea's case went from active to not missing without any public explanation. I've been trying to understand how these updates usually work. Do they automatically change the status once certain criteria are met, or is there a deeper investigation that precedes it? It's unsettling because, without transparency, family and community are left in the dark. Any insights from those who've followed other missing persons cases would be appreciated. It's just frustrating not knowing what led them to decide John's case is closed.
