Johnson Jonas was 29 when he was found dead in Southeast Washington, D.C., on the morning of Wednesday, August 19, 2015. Officers responding about 7:55 a.m. to the 3000 block of Stanton Road discovered him suffering from apparent gunshot wounds; medical examiners ruled the death a homicide.
The Metropolitan Police Department opened an investigation and publicly appealed for help, offering a substantial reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction. Despite those efforts, the case went cold; the MPD lists Jonas among the unsolved 2015 homicides. No arrests or suspects have been publicly identified.
Does anyone who lived or worked near Stanton Road in August 2015 have information that could help bring charges in this case?
