A summer evening in Langdon ended in gunfire on September 4, 2015, when a shooting in the 3000 block of 25th Street NE wounded three men. One of the victims, 22-year-old Davon Wade, was taken to a hospital and died the next day, September 5, 2015. Two other men survived with serious injuries.
The Metropolitan Police Department opened an investigation but did not immediately provide a motive or identify suspects. Wade’s death was counted among the city’s rising homicides that year. The MPD has kept the case active and included it in its unsolved homicide listings, offering a substantial reward for tips that lead to an arrest and conviction. No arrest has been publicly announced.
If anyone witnessed the shooting or has information about Davon Wade’s case, please contact the Metropolitan Police Department with tips.
