Has anyone else been puzzled by the timing of Debra Vaughan's reported disappearance? It's intriguing that her family didn't report her missing until January 1994, a full five months after she was last seen. I understand she had a past of taking off for brief spells, but it's odd to me that there wasn't earlier concern given her situation. Everything I’ve read suggests Debra was close with her family, and they always knew where she was during prior absences. Maybe they initially thought she'd return as she always did, but something had to really set off alarm bells for them to finally go to the police. Could there have been other reasons for delaying the report? The whole timeline aspect is baffling and feels like a big piece of this unsolved puzzle. Thoughts?

Hey everyone, I wanted to bring up something that's been on my mind regarding Debra Jean Vaughan's disappearance. I keep wondering about the blue 1980 Chevrolet Monte Carlo that's never been found. It's such a distinctive vehicle, and I'm curious if anyone in the area around Greer's Ferry back in the early '90s might remember noticing anything unusual or abandoned vehicles around that time. It seems odd that both Debra and the car vanished without a trace, especially if there was any noticeable damage or if it was left somewhere remote. Do any locals recall any odd sightings or even stories about that iconic car from back in the day? I think revisiting what people might have seen could offer new insights, even after all these years.
