Bobby Lee Rodriguez, a young man from Arkansas, was last seen on September 30, 2019, in Lemhi County, Idaho. He had taken a taxi to an area near Wagonhammer Spring and told the driver he was meeting a relative who was camping. He carried a box containing a firearm he said was a gift for that relative, and after being dropped off he did not contact anyone and disappeared from that remote area.

Local authorities were alerted in November 2019 and a Lemhi County deputy canvassed the Wagonhammer area, but no witnesses or leads were found and the case grew cold though it remained open. On a November day in 2025 a fisherman above the Salmon River discovered human remains, personal items and a rusted shotgun with a spent shell at a remote site west of North Fork. A note found at the scene suggested suicide. Clothing matched a photo of Rodriguez, the shotgun was traced to a purchase by him shortly before he vanished, and DNA confirmed the remains were his. Authorities said there was no evidence of foul play.

If anyone knew Rodriguez, visited Wagonhammer Spring in 2019, or has information about who he planned to meet there, please come forward.
