Just noticed something intriguing about Glen Ray Cook Jr.'s car being found in the Muldrow Bottoms area—specifically that it's stuck on a sandbar in the Arkansas River. Been thinking: the car was probably abandoned there intentionally, but why that specific spot? Maybe whoever left it there knew the area well and thought the river might wash it away eventually? And the timing is odd too. Witnesses saw the car there three days before it was officially found, which makes me wonder if someone was watching to see who noticed first. Anyone else familiar with the layout there and could chime in on whether it's a common place for dumping vehicles? Curious if there are other incidents or reports about this spot being used like this.
It's been over a decade since Glen Ray Cook Jr. vanished, and stumbling upon his story has left me with so many questions. One detail that stands out to me is the location where his car was found—it feels pivotal. The Muldrow Bottoms area, with that dam and the river, doesn't strike me as just a random spot to abandon a car if you're in distress.
I've read that his Hyundai was sitting there for days before anybody reported it. This makes me wonder—did anyone see him there? Was it somebody who knows the area well and knew exactly where to leave a vehicle without drawing attention for a while? I can't help but think this locale, with its remoteness and accessibility, may hold important clues. Are there others familiar with the area who've disappeared or who might have insights into what could happen there?
Also, considering Glen's mental state and the paranoia about being followed, does anyone think it could relate to why his car ended up specifically on that sandbar? It's as if he wanted to put distance between himself and something—or someone—real or imagined.
I just hope there's someone out there who knows something about the happenings around that dam and river area, who might finally shed some light on this mystery.
