I've been diving into Roy Hagel's case, and one detail that really caught my attention is the single set of footprints found near his abandoned car. It's puzzling, right? If those prints did belong to him, why wander so far into the desert alone? And how did they just vanish after six miles? The terrain in that area can be unforgiving, and it makes me wonder if he might have had experience with survival tactics or if he had some sort of plan in mind. Given that his father disappeared in a similar manner, could Roy have been mirroring an escape or looking for a fresh start? Anyone know if there was ever a search beyond those six miles? It seems odd to me that the lead just dropped right there. So many questions and not enough answers in this case!

Has anyone else wondered about the role of the ex-girlfriend in Roy Hagel's case? I'm trying to piece together why he would reach out to her specifically when he was all the way in Kingman, AZ. It seems like a significant decision given that they had already broken up. Was she the closest person he felt he could talk to, or could it have been a cry for help? Her report of him sounding depressed and possibly suicidal adds another layer to this. It just feels like there might be more to this connection than we're aware of. Maybe someone in the forum knows more about their relationship dynamics or has insights into whether they've been questioned further by authorities?
