I came across Martin Ebona III's case and found it really puzzling that there were potential sightings of him in Ketchikan back in '93. Does anyone know if those leads were ever officially followed up on? Ketchikan's not too far from Juneau, but it's not exactly an easy trip, especially if someone is experiencing homelessness like Martin was. I wonder if there's more to the story about why he might have headed that way. Seems odd that they'd find his hat in the Gastineau Channel but then have reports of him further south. If anyone remembers more about the area during that time, or if there’s been any recent chatter around these sightings, I'd love to hear it!

Has anyone looked into the sighting of Martin's hat in the Gastineau Channel? I find it strange that this clue might have pointed to something but was never concretely connected to his disappearance. I mean, Juneau's not that big of a place when you think about it. Could it have been swept out to sea or was it deliberately placed there? Just wondering if anyone else thinks this warrant's another look or if it's just a dead end some folks couldn't stop fixating on back in the day. If there was more to that lead, maybe it could offer a hint, especially since there was also talk of him possibly heading to Ketchikan. What do you guys think?
