I’ve been reading about the Craig murders, and my thoughts keep going back to Dean Moon and the impact his loss had on everyone who knew him. He was just starting out in life, having completed high school and full of potential, being a former football star. His tragic end alongside the Coulthurst family and other crew members is beyond devastating. I can only imagine the ripple effect his death had in Blaine, Washington. Small towns generally share every joy and sorrow together, and losing one of their own like this must have left a profound sense of sorrow. Friends, family, former teachers, teammates—all left with an empty space that can never be filled. I wonder how those who knew Dean have coped over these years, given that justice has never been served in this case. It's a chilling reminder of how fragile life is, and I hope they find some comfort in cherished memories and community support. It's hard not to think about how this crime has gone unsolved for so long. Here’s to hoping that someday, somehow, there might be a breakthrough that brings some element of peace and closure to Dean’s loved ones as well as all the families involved.
