Hi everyone, I've been following the DeLynne Frey case for some time now, and I find myself thinking about the challenges her family must have faced during those years she was missing. Imagine having a loved one just vanish without a trace for over seven years and then finally getting the news of her identification. The relief mixed with pain must have been overwhelming for Jean, William, and her sisters. They lived in a different state, so being so far from the ongoing investigation must have added another layer of helplessness. I also wonder why it took so long for an official report or more immediate attention. Maybe transient lifestyles at the time made disappearances among young adults seem less alarming? I hope police practices have improved since then, ensuring quicker action in missing person cases. Does anyone have insights into what Anchorage or even Baltimore was like during that time? Maybe there's more context from those who've lived in either place or who've followed similar cases? Thanks for any thoughts or info you might have. Hoping we can keep these discussions active to honor the memories of all Robert Hansen's victims. Warm regards, [Username]

Has anyone else looked into the timeline of when DeLynne Frey went missing? I find it so puzzling that her disappearance wasn't reported right away. From what I've gathered, she was last seen in April 1983, but it wasn't until August 1985 that her remains were discovered. I can’t even begin to imagine what her family went through during that time, especially since they were in Hawaii. It must have been such an agonizing period filled with uncertainty. I wonder if the lack of immediate reporting had anything to do with her being new to Anchorage and maybe not having a strong local support network. It's just so sad to think that might have contributed to the delay in finding her. Love to her family and all those affected.

I came across a detail about DeLynne Frey's case that really stuck with me—she wasn't reported missing for quite some time after she disappeared. It's truly baffling and sad that such a vibrant young woman could vanish, and life seemed to continue on without immediate notice. I wonder if the transient lifestyle of that time, or perhaps her being so far from family, contributed to the delay. It makes you question how many other cases might have slipped through the cracks. I'm hoping that more awareness and technology today could prevent this kind of oversight. Sending thoughts to DeLynne's family—this whole ordeal must have been a long and painful mystery until they finally got some answers.
