I’ve been thinking a lot about the significance of naming the K9 unit after Trooper Roelle, and it just hits you how these small gestures can mean so much. Naming a resource used to protect the community as he did seems fitting, doesn't it? It’s a reminder of his dedication and bravery every time that K9 unit is called into action. I can’t even begin to fathom what his family has gone through, but I hope they find a little comfort in knowing Hans-Peter's legacy lives on in such a meaningful way. It's as if every time the K9 acts in service, a piece of his spirit is woven into the fabric of safety he helped build and maintain.
