It's hard to wrap my head around how terrifying it must have been for that woman and her daughter the night of February 19, 2015. Just imagining them huddled in that closet, hearing those shots... it's chilling. It seems like John Adam Chilcote was just visiting, and his life was cruelly cut short in such a senseless act of violence. I can't help but feel for the families of both John and the woman involved; they’ve undoubtedly been deeply affected by such a traumatic event. And while justice may have been served with Matthew Burton Davis receiving a lengthy sentence, it can never truly make up for the pain and loss experienced by those left behind. I hope they continue to find strength in the days ahead.
