Hey everyone, I've been looking into the U-Roy Alphonso James case and came across something that's been nagging me. I read that the police discovered a burned-out black Toyota Corolla near Creque Dam right around the time he went missing, which was the same type of car he was reportedly driving. It makes me wonder: how common was it for cars to be burned like that in the Virgin Islands back in 2004? If it was a known trend of bodies being found in burned cars, could this have been part of a larger situation going on at the time? I'm hoping someone with more knowledge of what the local crime climate was like might have some insight. Also, are there any other cases from around that time with similar patterns? It's frustrating to think how such a crucial piece of the case might fit into a bigger picture. Any thoughts are welcome!
