Has anyone looked into the route Carlos might have taken on his way to El Salvador? I’ve read about others taking similar trips and running into problems with dangerous areas or city borders. Given the timeframe, it would be interesting to know if there were any known issues or incidents along that path around October 2012. There’s always the possibility of a car breakdown in a remote area as well, which could unfortunately leave someone vulnerable. I feel like understanding more about where he was when he made that last call could help us piece together what truly happened. If any locals or folks familiar with that journey could share some insights, it might shed some light on possibilities we haven’t considered.
