I recently came across a detail about the Treavonne Owens case that's been sticking with me. Given how close the incident took place to two schools, Central Middle School and Chugach Optional Elementary, I can't help but think about the students and staff who were directly impacted by the situation. It's truly unsettling to consider a tragedy occurring so close to where children are supposed to feel safe. I've been wondering how the schools addressed this with the students and parents. Did they offer counseling or have assemblies to discuss what happened? Events like these can have lasting effects mentally and emotionally, especially on young minds who might not fully comprehend what's going on. It's important for communities to have a plan in place to help everyone process such an event. Sending my thoughts to everyone affected, especially the witnesses and first responders who had to handle such a difficult scene. It's a grim reminder of the unexpected realities so many face daily. Hoping for strength and healing for all involved.
