Does anyone else find it haunting how hotels, often places of rest and sanctuary, can become scenes of such devastation? I can't stop thinking about the family dynamics that led up to this heartbreaking event in Fairbanks. Having Linda, McKay, Emily, and little Teagan all in one room—was this supposed to be a family getaway? Or was there a deeper underlying issue that none of their friends or colleagues knew about? It seems like those who knew Emily remember her as so full of life and kindness. Her coworkers thought she and McKay were happy, which makes this all the more puzzling. And that relative who discovered them—what a horrifying situation to be placed in. My thoughts are with them and anyone else grappling with this loss. It's a reminder that we truly never know what others might be struggling with behind closed doors.
