Hey everyone, I’ve been following Kevin Hicks' case and I'm curious about why there was such a large gap between his disappearance on July 27, 2025, and when the report was filed on December 18, 2025. Does anyone have ideas or insight on why it sometimes takes so long for missing persons reports to be filed? Was there any indication he’d just be off the grid for a while, or could it have been a concern about privacy and respecting his autonomy? Not sure if it's a common scenario but it seems crucial in these cases. Would love to hear others’ thoughts or if anyone has seen similar cases. Stay safe out there.

I was browsing through Kevin's case details and something odd stood out to me. His niece reportedly dropped him off at his residence on July 27, but the missing person's report wasn't filed until December 18. That's almost five months later! Does anyone know if there was a specific reason for this delay? I can't help but wonder if there were any attempts to locate him or any contact efforts before December. Seems strange for a family to wait so long unless they thought he left on his own, but then why officially report him missing later on? Any insights or similar case experiences would be appreciated!
