Has anyone else noticed how often there are delays in starting investigations when it comes to missing persons? I've been following Jonathan Woods Jr.'s case, and he wasn't reported missing until November, even though the last contact was back in August. It seems like valuable time is lost when there's such a gap between the last communication and the start of an investigation. I know he might have been experiencing homelessness, but are there no systems in place to flag such situations earlier? Does anyone know if resources or outreach teams are working in El Paso to help prevent these delays? Feels like these systems need to be improved to support folks like Jonathan before it’s too late. Thoughts?

It's been a bit since we heard any updates on Jonathan Thomas Woods Jr.'s case. One thing that caught my attention is the pending DNA sample from his mother. Does anyone know how common it is for cases to rely on DNA from relatives, particularly when there's mention of possible homelessness? It's sad this might be one of the hurdles they're facing with the investigation. I wonder if it's because there might not be any personal belongings or direct samples available from Jonathan himself. If anyone has insights or experience in how this process works, feel free to share. Every piece of info might spark something new in this case.
