I've been following the case of Katy Raye Higgins and Heath Logan McCloskey, and something that really stands out to me is the incredible bravery shown by the six-year-old child. I can't even imagine the trauma they must have experienced, yet they managed to contact family for help. It’s truly remarkable how quick-thinking and resourceful kids can be in the most terrifying situations.
It breaks my heart that they had to witness such a devastating event. I hope that they are receiving all the love and support possible from both family and professionals during this difficult time. Sending so much strength to the families involved and the entire Fairbanks community as they process this tragedy. Healing from such events takes time, and I hope that those affected find some peace in the days to come.
