I've been thinking a lot about Kenneth DeFrancesco's tragic accident, and what's really puzzling me is the type of gun he had. It strikes me as odd that he was carrying a firearm made to look like a black powder pistol. I've read that these kinds of guns can be a bit tricky because they're meant more for historical re-enactments rather than everyday carry. It’s just so sad to know that a hobby or interest could end up leading to something so awful. My heart goes out to his family and friends who have to process this kind of loss. It really drives home the importance of gun safety and being fully aware of the kind of firearms we choose to carry. I hope the investigation sheds more light on how this accident could have been prevented.
