It's been over a year now, and Robert Humeston's case still weighs heavily on me. One thing that stands out when thinking about his situation is the impact that an eviction can have on someone, especially at 65. Losing your home at that age can be terrifying and disorienting, and it makes me wonder where Robert might have gone after that.
Often in these missing persons cases, people overlook how quickly circumstances can spiral for someone without a stable place to stay. With no known transportation means or personal belongings documented, it becomes even harder to track any movement he might have made after leaving his residence.
Has anyone looked into shelters or services that cater to older adults in the Phoenix area? Sometimes these kinds of places keep records or have staff members who might remember someone coming in. I feel like if we explore resources available at the time, maybe we can piece together where he might have gone or who he might have reached out to for help. Any ideas or leads would be valuable to the Phoenix PD and could bring his family the answers they desperately seek.
