I'm really struck by how much Michael Wells meant to his community. From everything I've read, he wasn't just a father to his own children but played a huge role in mentoring and guiding so many others around him. It seems the kind of impact he had on people's lives went beyond what you might normally expect. I've been thinking about how the kids he coached must be feeling right now. It must be incredibly tough for them, losing someone who was likely a big part of their everyday lives and who encouraged them to be better both in sports and as individuals. I hope the people who have information won't hesitate to come forward. It’s vital for those grieving, especially his 15 children, to find some kind of closure and justice. The reward from CrimeStoppers might be an incentive for someone who knows something to speak up. I urge anyone with information, big or small, to consider the void left in this community and in the hearts of those who looked up to Michael. We need to rally together to help ensure his life’s work isn’t overshadowed by this tragedy.
